The region’s main hospital remains the busiest in the country, as the week begins.
The latest figures from the INMO shows there were 44 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 34 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.
The overall figure is 14 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 163 patients have been left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
