The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has dipped slightly, but remains more than double that of the next busiest facility.
The latest INMO figures show there were 49 people waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 38 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is 29 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.
