500 Clare ESB Customers Face Overnight Outages

Around 500 Clare Homes are facing overnight power outages.

ESB Networks across the country have been badly affected by last nights status red storm, with 4,500 homes across Clare out of electricity today.
 
Crews have restored power to most customers, but areas badly affected include Ennistymon, Kilkee, Kilrish, Miltown Malbay and Scariff, with pockets of outages all around the county.
 
Gardai in Killaloe have re-opened the Main road through Broadford Village after the repair of a fallen ESB Pole and live wires there, all diversions have been lifted.
 
Elsewhere public water supplies have been restored in parts of Bunratty and Cratloe, some locations may still be experiencing problems but full services will be restored by the end of the day.
 
Ennis Town Council is continuing to monitor river levels in the town and has implemented a number of flood prevention measures on a precautionary basis.
