51 Patients On Trolleys At UHL

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise once again.

The lates figures from the INMO’s trolleywatch show 51 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 29 of those in the Emergency Department.

The Dooradoyle facility is the most overcrowded in the country once again, with overall trolley numbers 4 more than the next busiest hospital – Galway University Hospital.

It comes on a day when 503 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
