The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has fallen slightly, but remains more than twice that of the next busiest facility.
The latest INMO figures show that 53 people were left waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 39 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is 31 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.
