The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is almost twice that of the next busiest facility.
The latest INMO figures show there were 55 people waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 48 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is 25 more than the next busiest facility, but is a reduction from yesterday’s figure of 75.
