The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital remains high today.
The latest figures from the INMO show there were 56 people waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 34 of those in the Emergency Department.
The overall figure is twice that of the next busiest facility, Dublin’s Mater Hospital, and three times higher than any other hospital outside of the capital.
