The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has risen slightly today.
The latest INMO figures show there were 56 people waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 43 of those in the Emergency Department.
The overall figure is 24 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 180 people were waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
