There’s been a sharp rise in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.
The lates INMO figures show 59 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 48 of those in the Emergency Department.
The overall fiures is 21 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 207 patients have been left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
