Ham radio users from 62 countries worldwide have received messages from Loop Head, as part of a weekend-long series of broadcasts.
Radio operators from Clare, Limerick, Kerry and Tipperary broadcast non-stop from Loop Head Lighthouse on Saturday and Sunday as part of the 16th International Lighthouse /Lightship Weekend, and made over 900 contacts with 350 radio clubs across the globe.

Contact was made with lighthouses and lightships as far away as Brazil, Australia, Tonga, French Guiana, Asiatic Russia, Ecuador, The Azores and the US. Virgin Islands.
