63 Patients On Trolleys At University Hospital Limerick

Nurses say there’s been a major spike in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest INMO figures show 63 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 42 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is almost double the next busiest facility, Cork University Hospital, where 33 people were left waiting on trolleys today.
