660,000 euro has bee granted to bring vacant social housing back into use in Clare.
The money is to be provided under the Voids and Derelicts Programmes, with 30 units approved under the allocation so far and a further 56 currently being assessed.

Kilmaley Councillor Tom McNamara is a member of Clare's Housing Committee and says any resources provided to increase Clare's social housing stock are to be welcomed.
He's calling for it to be put to use as speedily as possible.
