In Limerick, more than 15 properties were raided and it is believed that Gardai discovered women from England, Romania, Hungary, and Brazil who were working as prostitutes.

A large amount of documentation, cash, mobile phones and computers was also seized during the dawn raids across the country and 8 people detained.

Detective Superintendent Philip Marshall of the PSNI says one of their aims was to recover victims of human trafficking and help them recover from their situation.
