Gerry Adams has been released from custody this evening and a file sent to the Public Prosecution Service.
The Sinn Féin leader had been held by the PSNI at the serious crime suite in Antrim since Wednesday evening.

Deputy Adams was being questioned in relation to the disappearance and death of Belfast mother of ten Jean Mc Conville in 1972 – he's always denied any involvement.
