Shannon’s Garda numbers are set to be boosted.
Two new community officers appointed to police the East Clare Town will be officially unveiled this evening.
The Gardaí will directly liaise with members of the Shannon community in an effort to curb anti social behaviour and improve safety throughout local neighbourhoods.
Outgoing Fianna Fail Councillor Geraldine Lambert says despite the long delays in retaining the officers, their appointments are very welcome
