Aer Lingus Chief Christoph Muller has told Shannon staff that the airline has a positive future in the mid west.
Mr Muller met with airport workers this morning to hear the concerns of staff in the Mid West as the former state carrier presses ahead with major cost cutting plans.

Under the proposals up to a thousand jobs could be shed including over a hundred at Shannon but the focus of today’s meeting was on the long term future for the airline in the region.
SIPTU Shannon Representative Tony Carroll says staff were left heartened the talks with Mr Muller. However plans to cut staff numbers at the Mid West Airport have not changed.
