Aer Lingus Staff Begin Work-To-Rule

The union representing Aer Lingus cabin crew staff at Shannon, Cork and Dublin says it does not expect disruption from a work-to-rule, which is starting today.

The 1300 staff, member of the union IMPACT, are reverting to old rosters, rather than working new ones being implemented by management.

The airline says the changes are an essential part of a 90 million euro cost saving plan.

But IMPACT says the new rosters go beyond what was agreed at arbitration.

The company has warned staff they could be removed from the payroll, as a result of the action.
