Meat Industry Ireland Told To “Cop On” After Pulling Out Of Beef Talks

The Cratloe-based General Secretary of the ICSA has called on Meat Industry Ireland to “cop on”, after it pulled out of talks aimed at resolving the dispute over beef prices.

MII says it won’t take part in the discussions while beef farmers continue to blockade 20 meat processing plants across the country.

It has asked the Minister for Agriculture to use his best endeavours to have them lifted and allow talks to continue.

The ICSA’s Eddie Punch has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill and says there’s still time to come back around the talks table.
