Airlines that fly into Shannon are being urged to act upon the opportunity to have the controversial travel tax abolished.
The Tourism Minister has confirmed that the goverment is considering the move as the levy hasn’t generated the expected revenue.
Mary Hanafin is now urging tourism providers to come up with alternatives ways of boosting tourism revenue if they consider scrapping the tax.
