Last night, the Department's Emergency Consular Response Team made contact with the last Irish citizen outstanding on their list.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross says towns and villages near the epicentre of the Nepal earthquake have suffered almost total devastation.

Assessment teams who've found survivors describe them as being in a "desperate situation".

The charity's warning it's almost exhausted its relief stocks.
