A Shannon-based company is hoping to hire seven new workers, after receiving a 900 thousand euro investment.
AltraTech formed six months ago, and has invented a portable testing kit for the food and agriculture sectors, in light of the horsemeat scandal.

The majority of the funding is being invested by cork-based Kernel Capital, along with supports from other groups including Enterprise Ireland.
