An American man whose life was saved by air ambulance while he was holidaying in North Clare earlier this month is thanking the service for saving his life.
Michael Almada from Massachusetts was on holiday with his wife in Kilfenora just over three weeks ago when he suffered a heart attack.
He was collected in the village at around 11.30am by the Irish Community Air Ambulance, with corrective surgery being completed under an hour later.
