The NGO says it has gathered proof that several mass killings took place in the northern region of Sinjar in August.

Amnesty has published accounts of survivors who describe how dozens of men and boys were massacred, while hundreds, possibly thousands of Yazidi women and children were abducted since IS took control of the region.
It's calling on the Iraqi government to stop arming Shia militias and instead focus on protecting all civilians.
