Business owners are said to be furious over a delay in re-opening Clonbony Bridge following flooding earlier this month.
A temporary bridge in Miltown Malbay has been ruled out with Transport Infrastructure Ireland, formerly the NRA, saying it would be of no benefit as it would take three weeks to construct.

Repair works on the bridge are due to get underway next week but it will take a month to complete the project.
