It’s claimed up to 1,600 homes and businesses in the south of the county are being affected on an ongoing basis by a water main, which is repeatedly bursting in the area.
A leak occured on the line yesterday between Sixmilebridge and Kilmurry for the 5th time in recent weeks, leaving a vast number of customers without supply including Ballycar and Kilmurry National Schools.
In a statement to Clare FM, Irish Water have apologised for the inconvenience caused and say they hope to have supply restored later this morning.
