Lethal Rabbit Disease Identified In Clare

Clare has been identified as one of six counties nationwide where an outbreak of a lethal rabbit disease has been detected.

Rabbit haemorrhagic disease was first confirmed in the wild in Ireland in July of this year and has since been found in Clare, along with Cork, Leitrim, Offaly, Wicklow and Wexford.

It’s a highly infectious virus and measures have been taken in each location to try to stop it from spreading further.
