An anti war protest is taking place at Shannon Airport today as calls to end the US MIlitary use of the facility are renewed.
The gathering at the roundabout before the entrance to Shannon airport is being organised by the Shannon Watch group
who are demanding an end to military pit stops in Ireland which they say ammount to Irish participation in the occupation of Afghanistan.
The group also wants further answers regarding the possible passage of planes used in rendition flights through Shannon
