Anti water charges protesters continue to voice opposition to Irish Water

A crowd of around 100 people turned out in Ennis this afternoon to voice their opposition to the introduction of water charges.

The protests come as the deadline for registering with Irish Water approaches on Monday.

In Dublin meanwhile, organisers estimate that crowds of over 20 thousand converged at the GPO.

Speakers at the demonstrations called on people to boycott water charges and resist the installation of water metres.
