Gort gardaí are searching for the driver of a dark or black coloured Ford Focus in connection with a fatal hit and run in Ardrahan on Friday.
65 year old Gerry Keane – who was from the area – died in hospital on Saturday after being knocked down while crossing the main street in the village near the traffic lights at around 7.30 on Friday evening.

Gardaí have spoken to a number of motorists who witnessed the incident and are now appealing for anyone else with information to come forward
