Kilrush gardaí are appealing for witnesses to early morning crash which has left a young man fighting for his life in hospital.
The 23 year old, understood to be from the Kilmurry McMahon area was driving on the main Ennis to Kilrush Road at around 5.30 when his car left the road near Cranny Cross and hit a ditch.

Several units of the Kilrush Fire Brigade, ambulance personnel and gardaí attended the scene and the young man was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The scene was sealed off for several hours while a technical examination was carried out.
