East Clare Angling Groups are expected to appeal the planning permission granted for a seaplane service in Mountshannon.
Clare County Council gave the green light for Harbour Flights Ireland to build a base in the lakeside town earlier this week and the operators hoped to have it up and running by August.
However several local angling groups expressed concern about the impact the service would have on Lough Derg and lodged a number of objections in the original applications.

They are now set to meet this evening to outline their next step in regards to possibly appealing the decision to grant planning permission
