Hospitality providers in Clare are being invited to come on board with the ‘Ask For Angela’ initiative to make this county safer for socialising.
The campaign encourages those who find themselves in an uncomfortable situation on a night out to ask the bar staff for Angela – a code word to let them know they’re in trouble.
It began in the UK and the rollout here is being backed by the Clare Joint Policing Committee, as well as the Clare branch of the Vintners Federation of Ireland.

Those interested in finding out more are invited to two information evenings at Lucas Bar Ennis, this day week at 7.30pm and at Malones, Kilrush, on November 27th at 8.00pm.
