Their application for an injunction to have the NAMA owned building vacated is due to be heard tomorrow morning.

Apollo House has been occupied by the HOME SWEET HOME campaigners and an unknown number of homeless people since the end of last week.

In a statement issued earlier today, the building’s receiver said the occupation is illegal and unsafe to occupants and neighbours.

Tom O’Brien of Mazars says the building is in poor condition and doesn’t meet the requirements of homeless people.

This afternoon, the High Court granted his lawyers permission to serve short notice of their intention to apply for an injunction to have them removed from the ten-storey building.

Rossa Fanning told the court they were assured there were enough beds and shelter elsewhere for everyone using Apollo House.

An affidavit read out on behalf of Mr. O’Brien said they’d only gone to court as a “last resort”.
A full hearing is due to take place tomorrow.
