The Director of Shannon Airport believes British Airways’ decision to avail of pre-clearance in the Mid West for its new luxury business service will set an example to other carriers.
BA’s inaugural flight from London to New York jetted into Shannon this afternoon and will run twice daily.
The service is offering fine food, ample seating room and flat beds on a specially converted 32 seater Airbus.

Tickets for the flight cost more than two thousand euro.
It brings to four the number of carriers now using CBP at Shannon Airport.
