A Dutch man charged in connection with a bomb scare on board a plane which landed at Shannon is expected to make an application for bail today.
Jorge Flores is charged with causing a false alarm on board a flight from Amsterdam to Aruba by telling cabin crew that he had a bomb on board.
At Ennis District Court last Friday the 44 year old’s detention was extended while the DPP compile a full file on the case where it also emerged that it could be held on indictment.
Judge Joseph Mangan was also informed further charges were possible but Gardaí said it was unlikely that the file would be complete for today’s hearing before the courts.
However an application for bail for the Dutch national, with an address in Kerkrade, Nieuwstraat 107, Netherlands who has been held at Limerick Prison since being charged, is expected to be made.
