Water consumers on the Ballyvaughan Public Water Supply are being warned that a boil notice will be in place for at least another week.
The notice concerns around 700 consumers on the public supply, including the following Group Water Schemes: Muckinish, Gleninagh, Gregans, Knocknagrough and Newtown
Householders are being told to continuously boil all water intended for consumption or food preparation.
However Clare County Council says water now only needs to be boiled continuously for one minute instead of five
The Local Authority also says the final completion of a €5M Water Scheme contract will be required to provide a long term resolution to the water quality issues experienced in the Ballyvaughan area..
