Ennis Town Council says it will make a decision by Friday on whether a big screen is to be erected in the town to allow a large crowd watch the All Ireland Hurling Final.
While thousands of Clare fans will be in Croke Park on September 8th, more will miss out on the chance of seeing their county take on Cork in person, and calls have been made for a large public event in Ennis.

Ennis Town Council believes this will cost twenty thousand euro, but local representatives are willing to give it the green light provided it is feasible and receive public support.
