A Bodyke Councillor is describing the closure of two East Clare Credit Unions as another blow for rural Ireland.
The part time branches in Quin and Kilkishen are to close their doors on Friday following a review of the offices operated under the St. Francis Credit Union Group.

It's claimed that the branches are no longer commerically viable, while there are also security concerns due to the small numbers of staff working there.
