Bank of Ireland has reported a loss before tax of 723 million euro for the first six months of the year – that’s down from a loss of 1.3 billion euro this time last year.
In its financial statement for the first half of this year, the bank also says impairment charges on loans to customers have fallen.

Bank of Ireland says just under 5 percent of its owner occupier mortgage holders are in arrears of over 90 days while 7.8 percent of its buy to let mortgages are in arrears of more than 90 days.
