The Army Bomb Disposal Team have been called to Kilrush to deal with what’s believed to be a World War 1 Bomb.
Gardaí in Kilrush were alerted by a local man about the presence of the historic explosive device in the Cappa Pier area last night, and have called in the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team from Cork to carry out a controlled explosion.

The Bomb is now in an area of Cappa Beach, that’s been cordoned off by gardaí in Kilrush with minor traffic diversions in place in the interests of public safety.
