There’s bad news for hundreds of thousands of Bord Gáis customers today, with the announcement that it’s seeking to hike its electricity and gas costs.
It’s reported this morning that Bord Gáis will announce an increase in its electricity prices this week by 10-14 per cent.

And it’s also expected Bord Gáis will seek permission to hike gas for customers by up to 28 per cent.
The move has been slammed by consumer groups who accused the semi-state company of ‘hoodwinking’ customers into switching from other suppliers for cheaper deals.
