A 9-year-old boy remains in a critical condition in Galway University Hospital after he fell into the sea in North Clare last night.
The alarm was raised just after 9 o'clock when the boy fell into the water at the lighthouse at Blackhead.

A search operation was launched by the Doolin unit of the Coast Guard and the Shannon based search and rescue helicopter.
The child was recovered from the water shortly before 10 o’clock; he was then airlifted to the Galway Hospital.
