Boy racers across Clare are being warned to leave the car at home if they are heading out on the town over the Bank Holiday.
There’s an increased garda presence on the roads this weekend as officers crack down on drink and drug driving as well as speeding and other dangerous behaviour.
Gardaí are appealing to young people, and in particular young men, to slow down, as the figures show half of all fatalities this year, involve people aged between 16 and 30.
