The county’s Breastcheck Mobile Unit finally opens on the grounds of Clare County Council in Ennis this morning and will remain in Clare offering the life saving scan until at least next April
Women aged between 50 and 64 who are eligible for the free service will receive a letter with an appointment to attend the unit – and are urged to use the service while it’s in place.

Shannon Councillor Patricia McCarthy says the county has waited long enough for the service and should avail of it while they can.
