Breen Confident Ireland’s Reputation Remains Intact Despite Apple Ruling

Clare's Junior Minister says he's confident Ireland can maintain its international reputation, despite the Apple tax ruling.

However, Minister of State Pat Breen admits the government will now have to change their approach towards foreign companies, in the wake of the European Commission's decision.

Ministers will meet again tomorrow, after failing to reach a decision yesterday on whether to appeal the finding that Apple owes 13 billion euro in unclaomed taxes.

The Fine Gael representative agrees with this proposal, and believes it's the best course of action to protect Ireland's standing abroad
