The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council is hoping for further expansion of the University of Limerick into the Banner county.
For the first time, the local authority held its monthly meeting at the University's Clare Campus on Friday.

Addressing the meeting, UL President Professor Don Barry pointed out that almost 40% of the university's building stock is now in Clare and they hope to develop this further.
And James Breen who was chairing his last meeting as Cathaoirleach says the building of the Northern Distributor road would further strengthen ties.
