Organisers of Feile Brian Boru, which concludes in Killaloe this weekend, say they’re confident their plans to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of his death will be successful.
Large crowds have descended on Killaloe in recent days with a number of family friendly events and popular concerts taking place – tag rugby competitions, long boat races and historical walks are among the activities taking place this weekend.

Feile Brian Boru is in it’s 19th year, but one eye is already being cast towards 2014 when it will be a millenium since the death of the former High King of Ireland.
