Overall there was a 4% increase in passenger numbers, while visitors from the US are also on the rise.
Separately, Fáilte Ireland has named the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland's top five tourist attractions following a 16% increase in footfall last year.
The Chairman of Loop Head Tourism, Cillian Murphy says the figures reflect what Clare businesses have been experiencing on the ground.
