Broadford Community “Devastated” Following Loss Of Young Local GAA Player

The community of Broadford is said to be devastated following the loss of a young local GAA player.

21-year-old Niall O Brien died on the Greek island of Ios, following an alleged altrecation with another man last Monday.

He’ll be laid to rest in Broadford this evening following a funeral mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Milford.

Niall is survived by his parents Mike and Anne and three brothers.

The O’Brien family have been members and players for Broadford GAA for many years, with Niall himself playing for the South East Clare club since the age of 5.

PRO for Broadford GAA, Martin Cooper says he carried on a rich family tradition.
