At this week’s County Board meeting, Broadford’s Danny Chaplin thanked all associated with GAA in the county for the support offered to the O’Brien family and the local community, following the death of Niall O’Brien.
Mr Chaplin said that the manner in which local clubs, including Smith O’Brien’s and Clonlara, lined the road while the late Mr O’Brien was being brought from Monaleen to Broadford, for his funeral mass, was very touching.
He read a statement at the county board meeting in which he also thanked the county board for their support.
